It's hard to believe that this place has been here...

It's hard to believe that this place has been here for 2,000 years! The preservation effort has been immense and the Ancient Theater of Orange is a true cultural treasure. Public access is quite good, so you can get close and really see how the walls and floors were constructed. The Romans were amazing builders and the acoustics are actually quite amazing. There was a choral rehearsal when we visited and we had no trouble ordering the voices clearly, even though we were standing very near the top.
