We took our 5 and 9 year old granddaughters to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Saturday August 29th. I was deeply disappointed in
how risque some parts were (Potiphars wife) and absolutely vulgar Pharoh was.
I understand Pharoh was "Elvis" but the real "Elvis" was not vulgar. He did not thrust his hips like this young man did. He was WAY over the top. Potipars wife did not have
to be depicted as so vulgar. The story could have been told in a family friendly manner. The professional troupes that perform this wonderful Bible story do so in a manner that is not simply vulgar and classless. I am sorry that my precious grandchildren were subjected to this unnecessarily vulgar depiction of a beautiful Biblical story...
