We stayed 7 nights in this fabulous hotel. We got one of the deluxe rooms with balcony overlooking north of the Chao Praya river. Amazing view!

Daily buffet breakfast was on point. There are different kinds of food to satisfy Asian and Western palates. The lounge area at the lobby is very grandioise and sprawling. Coffee and beer are expensive though.

For lunch and dinner, you can always go out and try the famous Thai street food just outside of Shangri-la.

The gym is spacious and well equipped with new equipment. It is clean and staff are friendly and courteous.

The swimming pool is very relaxing and you can get your sun most of the day.

Shangri-la complex is sprawling but you can walk to the Saphan Taksin BTS station or to Sathon Pier. From there, you can explore Bangkok without taking a taxi.

If you take a metered taxi from the airport, expect to pay around 500 Bhat, and that includes toll fees and tip.

Check out is a breeze but watch out for those 210 Bhat charge for local call. You can request to waive them. Shangri-la knows such charge is exorbitant.
