I am happy to share my experiences on google. My wife Carol and I traveled to Prague and Vienna using Untours on both legs of the trip. Each one was quite different, but each was a positive experience. Prior to our trip we ask Catherin Baumbach for a hotel recommendation in Dresden. She suggested the Hotel Steigenberger which was great for both amenities and closeness to the church that we wanted to attend.

Our Untours trip to Prague was a traditional Untours trip. We were provided an apartment outside Prague but within walking distance of the tram and metro. Our tickets worked on both lines. The honor system which allows you to get on and off once you have verified your ticket once. This system was quick and efficient. We had tickets for all the time that we were in Prague.

Alana, our Untours rep, gave us a super orientation and called us to check if we needed any more guidance. She told us about concerts at the churches and as a result we saw the opera, Carmen.

Overall the Untours experience in Prague made us want to return.

The Untours trip to Vienna was Vienna Uncovered. During this portion of the trip we had Claudia Prieler to provide a more in-depth view of Vienna. For the Belvedere we had Philip who not only explained the Klimt paintings, but other artists that made me compare the artists to the Impressionist of Paris. Great eye opener to realize that Paris is not the only center for art in Europe. Philip, as we walked the city. spoke of its architecture. It just gave us an understanding from an Austrian's point of view.

Claudia took us to Beethoven's home where he composed the 9th symphony. Being outside of the old sector of Vienna we shared buses with Austrians who were on their way home from a Sunday visit to Oldtown.

These days everyone is doing "cooking classes" but ours was unique because we were in a small neighborhood restaurant which prepared food from Stephanie, Owner and Felipe, Chef. As we ate dinner that we prepared we had a wonderful conversation with Grichka Voss, author, actor and play write. She talked of the theater and growing up in theater world of Vienna. Carol and I loved this conversation. It was one of those back and forth one where you felt comfortable asking any question.

I could add much more, but just let me say that Vienna Uncoverd was very special experience. This tour gave me a better perspective on Austria and the culture of Vienna.
