Buying a Chanel bag at the original Rue Cambon store is sure to be a memorable experience. I'm lucky to have been able to visit the store on three different occasions, and purchase a bag twice at the Rue Cambon store. Every time my experience has been absolutely lovely. Depending on how busy it is, you may have to wait for an associate to be assigned to you. I've never felt pressured to purchase a bag at the store. Every associate I've interacted with there is patient, nonjudgmental, and helpful. On one occasion, I was there with a friend who was quite indecisive and they were still patient and understanding during the entire interaction. The VAT refund process is also extremely easy and the store clearly has it down to a science due to the amount of tourists they interact with on a daily basis. All you have to do is pretty much show them your passport and they'll take care of the rest. Overall, if you're purchasing a Chanel bag in Paris, make all efforts to purchase here at Rue Cambon and get the special white bag & boxes!
