Their management is a running joke in Pineview. They have hung up on me multiple times. Work orders take forever. You will get stuck with charges for something that was handed down over the years and suddenly you have to pay for it (2 sets of ancient blinds broke under our lease and we had to pay lots of money....not our fault they snapped from old age).

The BYX house has mold on their kitchen ceiling that carriage refuses to take care of.

My house in Pineview had a moldy washer. The dishwasher was crooked. The walls had no insulation so the electric bills were nuts. I found water bottles and trash in the air vents. The unit was on an incline and threw off my car alignment. The 4 bedroom had 4 super small parking spots- not large enough for our cars so one of us had to park on the grass...then Carriage said we couldn't do that because of utility lines (fair enough).....but thanks carriage for all of the space to park!!!!!!

Break ins during college breaks are a huge problem (if you drive around Pineview and see a white door, it has most likely been broken into). I saw a sketchy person walking around looking in windows last year and had to call the police. Lots of sketchiness in general. You can associate the cars with the houses, so you don't park in a big lot like some complexes. Carriage handled the break ins terribly. Many of the units flood regularly. One of my friends had a fire from a lightening strike in their house, and carriage tried to blame them for having lint in their dryer or something like that. I don't know details. Classic. Just stay away. Pay a little more to avoid getting charges later on.

I called last year to request that my friend would not get a specific unit because it has problems, they hung up on me, and so I physically went into the office to make the request. I wrote on a sticky note for her to put in the folder saying "NOT 210A." A higher up heard about the issue because I dialed random extension numbers and left voicemails asking to not place her in that unit. The higher up called me back to check on the situation. The original person put a sticky not saying we requested the unit. CRAZY. I'm thankful for the higher up, but one good higher up is not a reflection of the way that business is run. I shouldn't have to dial random extension numbers for customer service. I had two years of headaches with these people.

If they respond to this review, it is because they have to manage their PR because they are SUCH a huge joke in Athens. It is some poor person that has to try to cover this mess. Save yourself the money, headaches, and overall safety/health risk and lease through someone else.

Go to La Parrilla instead. We reminisce about the nightmares of carriage every time we pull in the parking lot (which is weekly).
