Actually I went to edureka for an interview to the post of business development executive.That was a good experience for me ,when I reach there ,it was around 40-50 People were there.First round was group discussion in which one group was having 10 member's.Actually you can't call it as group discussion ,you don't need to support or agree with one's argument ,you have to just pointing out your thoughts , because they just wanted to know whether do you have that much vocabulary or not, at the end of the G.D ,when you're asked conclude,they will give suggestions to your talk, that's really good . After that they called me and three of us ,after that we had aptitude test ,15 minutes for email writing and 30 minutes for aptitude test ,in email writing you will be asked to write email by giving a context ,mostly it will be a formal mail in which you may be asked to write a formal mail to a subject expert of a particular course to give them the message that sent the rest of the content before the deadline ,that will be easy but the aptitude test was really tough ,if you are good enough in work -time,speed, permutation problem it will be easy for you.After the test I thought I could have threw out but again some of us were asked to one more test for another 30 minutes but only with aptitude questions,it was quite simple as compared to the previous questions, I could write quite well(Still I don't know why they conducted this test and then one retest) .Some how ,most us were selected to the next round who was sales pitch round , before the round they gave us idea about the round,they told us to learn something about a course that they are providing,such that in the sales pitch round we will be asked to sell that particular course to customer ,that is you have to convince the one who is conducting this round . Actually this round is very crucial because here your ability as a sales person will be evaluated like your energy, communicative skills,onvicing ability, creativity,presence of mind, organising ability you can see that the guy who conducts this test will be writing something when you're talking to him.If you have that average quality , definitely you will be selected to next round, in which you will be interviewed by one of the sales head's.In that round we were around 20 members,all of us were asked to wait in a room.The time was 5 -5.30 p m , actually we were all tired since some of didn't had lunch, when we were sitting in the room one guy came and called on name ask him come,that one of those sales head's called every one.After the interview we were asked wait for a while , since they take some time for the result.After interview there were some guys who was explaining their experience with different sales head's ,some people said they were asked about technical questions like those courses they provide hadoop,big data, etc.For some others it was easy ,they were asked tell about their family and other simple things . While waiting for the interview ,I was little tensed , because of hearing the experience of my colleagues,but however I managed ,here comes my turn ,the guy who took my interview was really nice he asked me about my family background and questions like after b.tech why sales,such questions .Mean while he was looking at my resume since it contains all my strengths and weaknesses evaluated in sales pitch round , actually he was trying to know can I really do the sales job.He also asked me about what are the good characteristics of a sales person and to test communicative skills and convincing ability ,he asked me about my academic project in college and ,told me that convince him that the project I did was really worth , I tried to my level best,but I could see a disappointment in his face so ,I expected a rejection from him and the same happened but altogether it was nice recruitment process, their salary package to this post was around 3.5 lakhs.
