It was our first time at Pulcinella. The restaurant seemed inviting and child friendly. Ambiance was good and the restaurant was clean. The staff was nice and friendly. We were seated right a way as we had come in at a slow time. We had placed our order, the kids ordered a pizza and the adults, an appetizer, soup and pasta for our entrees. The appetizer came out relatively fast and it went downhill from there. The calamari was good but the soup was luke-warm, but not wanting to be wasteful I ate it anyways. The servers said that the pizza would be out shortly but that was not the case. The restaurant began to fill up, after our appetizers were done it was some quite sometime that we got our entrees. The other patrons who had walked in after us were getting their entrees. A couple in the corner looked like they got their pizza within 15 mins of sitting down. I had to say something because the kids were complaining about being hungry and wanting their pizza. I was watching the other guests and they seemed to have a good transition from appetizer to entrees. When the pizza finally came out it was good the kids enjoyed it. The pasta on the other hand, Pappardelle di bossca came out looking slimy and overcook, it too wasnt hot. The gnocchi was hot but I found a hair in it. When I inquired from the waitress about the food being luke-warm she said that the pasta was suppose to be room temperature. As for the wait-time, she said that she did nothing wrong that she was taught to put entree orders midway through the appetizers. The waitress didn't seem happy with the 10% tip we left either, which I thought was generous for the experience we had. This restaurant was very pricey for below average food.
