Because of my dad's recent stroke, I suddenly had to find a nursing rehab for him. After I spoke to people in the admission/rehab at the Niles NursingCenter as well as their affiliated doctor and homecare service called National Homecare Service, I noticed that this place has no interests in residents' wellbeings. Each resident pays $10,000/month. Not $1000/month. It's $120,000 per year. Very good business to them with old people with dementia, disabled, no family to be with, etc.
I feel so sad and angry that this kind of nursing center is still around. I'm glad that I researched and asked around before I made a decision. usnews.com has very good information about best nursing center.
