We decided we really shouldn't miss the spectacle of 10,000 torches lighting up the night around the Tower of London to commemorate the end of the First World War and pay tribute to all those who lost their lives. It was a moving sight, and well worth the visit. Entitled "Beyond the Deepening Shadow" this was a fitting way to mark 100 years since the end of that terrible war, truly an Armistice Day we should not forget.
