Had to take my child here recently, unfortunately the staff was very unprofessional and seemed like that did not care about their patients at all. Because of the reason of our ER visit I felt it required some kind of attention since were told by another physician to go to the ER and sat there in the room for 1 1/2 hours without a soul to come in and check on my child. After that I requested to leave and to sign proper paperwork for discharge to take my child elsewhere as we were recommend by our specialist who is in Denver and knew of the situation, a doctor magically became available. He seemed rushed which is understandable of an ER but the medication that was provided to my child was incorrect according to our specialist. To also add insult to injury the RN I was dealing to sign discharge papers proceeded to tell me how many patients she had left before she got to us and also told me the procedure that was being done on the other patients and their gender. Which is obviously a violation of HIPPA. As someone who has worked in a hospital on the floor I was extremely disappointing in the service and care that was provided here and will NEVER return to this hospital. I should have gone to UChealth as usual but lesson learned.
