Located at the intersection of shipping lines connecting Europe to South America, North America to South Africa, the port of Dakar, enjoys an exceptional geographical position. This allows vessels from the North to have a navigation gain of two (2) to three (3) days compared to other ports on the West African coast.
With a stable and well-secured 177 ha waterway, a 195m channel recently dredged at -13m from landing buoy no. 12 to the Container Terminal (ie about 700,000 m3 of residues to be mobilized ).
