I hate to leave a 2 start review on a place I have...

I hate to leave a 2 start review on a place I have loved since the day it opened it's first location but the decline of service is just too much to ignore anymore. Like I said, I've been going to Cafe Rio since it first opened and have easily spent thousands of dollars there. It's consistently been one of my favorite places to eat. When it got bought out by a corporation, they changed some of the recipes and it was very noticeable. They eventually changed it back and it was good again but it's never been the same. I still loved it though.

The last few years, and especially since Covid, the service has declined so much that it's hard to even understand. Not one time in at least the last 20 has their pickup time been even close to what they said. Orders are constantly wrong, items missing or incorrect, and wait times are terrible. One time in particular, I ordered for pickup which was an hour, arrived on time, then waited another hour and a half for the food. To this day I don't know how that's even possible.

The one thing I've noticed is that they used to have a dedicated staff and I recognized them for many years. They were adults, very friendly, and extremely fast. I don't know if they cut the pay of the workers or what, but now everyone is younger and just seems to not care. They need to get that back or they are going to continue to lose business. I for one am done with it. There are too many good places in St. George now to deal with the frustration.
