I received a groupon as a gift for some classes at CrossFit Spot for my birthday, and I really enjoyed taking classes at this gym. The space is clean and well equipped. The classes are challenging and well programmed for all levels. The instructors are friendly but firm and are thorough in their explanations of, and the proper form for each movement of the workout. Each instructor takes the time to learn everyone s names and any injuries at the beginning of class, which I think is a very nice touch, especially as a newcomer. Regardless if the class is four people or sixteen, instructors take the time to visit each student multiple times to either encourage or correct form, which I really appreciate. And most importantly, overall, the atmosphere of the gym, from the owners, to the staff, to the students is so welcoming, friendly and encouraging/supportive. This location is a bit out of the way, especially if you live in the outer boroughs like me, but I think it s absolutely worth the trek and I highly recommend everyone wanting to try out CrossFit to give CrossFit Spot a visit. I will most certainly be coming for more classes in the future.
