I inherited an IRA from a friend in 2019. It took a year for Trenton to give out waiver to release funds. Talked to someone two weeks ago at ubs after they received waiver and they told me they would call me back and never did. Talked to someone today and said they would call me back today or tomorrow. Still haven't released restricted fund account. Im counting on the person I spoke to today to call back today or tomorrow. The problem is every time you call you will get a different advisor on the phone and you have to start from scratch . It seems every time you talk to an advisor they come up with a different answer as to what the inheritance rules apply. I'm really counting on this person I spoke to today to get back to me as they said they would.
