As zoos go I'll as far as to say it's a C+. To start, at it's busiest parking is impossible. The lot arrangement is poor due to it's single entry/exit point, lack of room, and the fact that it is shared by the amusement park across the street. Parking was $5 but I could see it being free when it's not so busy.

The membership to the zoo for a whole family is $99, if you can't decide if you want to buy it in line you can actually pay your normal entry fees and then comeback and have that day's fees go toward the membership if you do decide to get one. There are, of course, different levels to membership but the gist is you can stroll in on the member line and get 10% off purchases in the zoo.

The zoo itself does have some great exhibits, most of what you'd expect to find at a zoo but some are just a bit lacking. I've only been here a few times so there may be other ways around but from what I can tell there are at least two, maybe more, exhibits that so not have handicap/stroller ramps on one or both sides.

The dining facilities range from a medium sized quick bite spot to a large shaded, artesianal foods with an amazing view of the zoo's largest exhibit containing many African favorites cohabitating in one area. There aren't many food stands or generally opportunities for snacks besides these two spots and the gift shop - wouldnt want to tempt people to feed the animals I guess...I still wish they had Dippin' Dots..

Animals seem well taken care of and there are certainly a variety to be seen. If I could change one exhibit, I'd give the Tiger much more space. Seems a shame but you be the judge.

This zoo is well kept and popular with locals but it really doesn't have that something to it that I would needed to want to keep coming back. It's not bad by any means, just average I think.
