The tech in triage was unfriendly and dismissive. She even ignored me when I asked her a question. We are sick people who are looking to feel better when we go to a hospital, not worse!

Dr. Brian Martineau who was my primary doctor, seemed irritated that I was asking questions about my blood work. Even went so far as to say, "oh you're really curious about this". Well, it's my blood work and I'd like to know what's going on. Not the worst thing in the world to want to know your results. Furthermore, when he finally came in with my ct scan results, he seemed rushed. I asked him to look at my abdomen per the results of the CT and he looked like he didn't want to be bothered with it, but he unhappily obliged. I have never felt this way at a hospital before.

Before he left, he specifically asked me which pharmacy to send my medication to. I gave him the Pharmacy name and street address, but he still sent it to one that is further away from my home. How can I trust anything they do if this minor detail gets overlooked?

The one caveat is the wonderful nurse I had, Ms. Jenn, she was kind, patient, and caring. She made me feel like I was going to be ok.

I'm so used to the excellent care I received any time I visited NYU Hospital when I was living in NY. I guess my standards are high.

Never hesitate to ask questions about your care. What medications they're giving you, what your results say, etc. It is your right.

If it's not life or death, do yourself a favor and go to another hospital. As a matter of fact, based on the other reviews, I would avoid this hospital at all costs.
