I made a deal on some equipment with the owner, Craig. We agreed on $11,000 in for form of 3 payments. The first (2) payments were for $2,500 ea, one was to be received immediately and one within 30 days. The final payment of $6,000 was to be received on day 60 which would have concluded the deal. I went ahead and sent the $2,500 deposit and asked for an invoice. The invoice not only showed a price which was $1,000 higher but it also showed different payment terms of $2,500, $4,500, & $5,000. Personally, this is not how I conduct business but apparently is an acceptable way for them to do business. If you decide to do business with them, be sure to get everything in writing up front.
