This fort is a wonderful piece of history to visit. All of the buildings are restored beautifully and you can see what life was like for soldiers stationed here. During our visit the museum was being disassembled so we did not get to visit it, but the visitor's center was clean with very nice bathrooms. All of the park rangers were helpful and knowledgeable. Our favorite part was the blacksmith's shop. The blacksmith patiently explained what he was doing to my children and made them a chain link.
