Not bad but not five stars. The food is pretty good, the potatoes Aug rotten were a little undercooked and very bland (probably could have been seasoned before layering and baking as all the flavor was on the top crust), the pepper appetizer was just a large plate of roasted mild peppers in a sweet chili sauce (again kinda bland and 1 dimensional, would have been far better with some sort of stuffing or 2nd vegetable to round out the flavor, though I got the feeling that it was meant to be an accompaniment dish for a better appetizer.)
The walleye was moist and tender, with a nice breading and came with a sweet tartar sauce. (No real complaints here, although a butter garlic sauce would have been nice as well, and a cheap way to increase perceived variety.) The mud pie desert (coffee icecream, fudge, oreo crust) was delicious, by far the most flavorful part of the meal. Although the foods we ordered were not quite up to par, I think that was just luck of the draw, and if we had ordered other items the meal would have been better.
The service was excellent, pleasant, professional and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The valet was missing when we pulled up to park so we parked ourselves, but that's not that big of a deal.
All together not a bad experience.
