Very interesting and informative. The speaker was extremely knowledgable and explained things in easy to understand terms. And he had a great sense of humor. Unfortunately a thick cloud bank moved across the night sky that blocked the stars and moon from viewing, so we opted to leave rather than move in doors.
We stayed at the Harvard Hotel in Ft Davis. It was comfortable and reasonable but we don't recommend any of the restaurants. Alpine is a much larger town with many more restaurants and lodging choices, but a farther drive to the observatory.
