The Richard C. Wheeler Bay Learning Center is an introduction to the advocative and visionary work of the Buzzards Bay Coalition. The exhibit is housed within the principal BBC administrative office building. The restored and green historic brick and granite building on Front Street gives an optimistic thumbs up to a revitalized New Bedford waterfront. This will be a starting point to learn of the many efforts made to restore habitat, water quality and landscapes across the South Coast. Their recent Acushnet Saw Mills park is a tribute to the history and ecology of the region. This excellent organization is worthy of our support and involvement.
