No one picks phone or answers emails. No way to he...

No one picks phone or answers emails. No way to hear back or fix an appointment. Boston consulate is way way better. They have informed me more about my visa application even though my visa confirmation is sent to NYC consulate by the collaborator in Israel.
Edit- I went to the consulate directly and I was able to get my visa easily. It is just weird that there is no appointment system and no one picks up phone or answers emails.
