I purchased critical illness plans with Aviva last year at the age of 26 years old. Aviva rejected my appeal multiple times for coverage of my breast cancer.

I did not have any past medical history of cancer nor was I at risk of family history. I was not required to follow up with my doctor after my operation 6 years ago for PASH (Pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia).

So when Aviva rejected my appeal, I went to seek for second opinion with a specialist. The outcome is the same as my previous doctor. (No follow up needed and no need for yearly checkup).

Very disappointed with Aviva. No explanation given as to why appeals was rejected. All I get was a letter that states there will be no changes to the terms and conditions of my policy. They are NOT TRANSPARENT on how they review their policy at all. Processing of appeals is slow as well.
