The DOL in CT is the WORST. I worked in FL all of 2017, moved back to CT and was unemployed from June 29th until Sept 10 with a pink slip from my job with a return to work date. I filed July 3rd and wasn't notified until I went to the DOL in Montville that a claim was filed in my name in FL. After months of no help from the CT DOL, the FL DEO informed me that Connecticut filed two claims in my name, blocking me from collecting my unemployment wages and they refuse to allow FL to apply a manual withdrawal because they don't want to pay an overpayment even though the claim was filed and submitted in CT for CT wages. Now I am unemployed again from my seasonal job for another 8 weeks. The joke is on you because I am pursuing a kawsuit and have gotten Joe Courtney's office investigating for identity theft and withholding wages. Enjoy the fat check you will owe me when everything is all said and done. You aren't even professional enough to notify your claimants when there is an issue or follow your DOL protocols and instead make it hell for people to collect in this state. If anyone else would like to join in on a lawsuit, I'd be more than happy to help.
