We had to have our family dog put down a couple of days ago and I just want to thank them so much for their compassion. We were very upset with our vet clinic where we regularly had her treated, Chilhowee Vet Clinic in Maryville. Our dog had been in some distress and we called to see what we could do to help her get comfortable. They suggested we give her Tylenol, a double dose, which is extremely harmful for dogs!!! Anyway, GJS spoke with my brother and even told us they could fit us in sooner than the next day if things became worse. I appreciate their very kind words and obvious concern (and box of tissues); it made a terribly difficult situation as bearable as it can be. We have a small dog with epileptic seizures that needs desperately to be groomed, we are ditching Chilhowee altogether to hopefully get him properly taken care of.
