Was excited to play because I had heard great things. Made a last-minute tee time and paid full price ($189). Good course but not worth that unless in immaculate shape.

Played 5/3/20 and they just sliced up and sanded the fairways. Most landing areas are 50% sand. I asked when I made the tee time if they had recently punched the greens. Was told "no," and while I didn't specifically ask, you would think they would have mentioned the fairways. Also asked if there was a NC resident rate and was told "no." No big deal, but apparently there's a discount card for around $330 where you get two rounds and then significant discounts on rounds after that. The people I played with had the card and paid $75. Also no mention of that. I would say in it's current shape it's worth about that price.

Greens were good though some punch marks were evident in certain areas. I'm not a greenskeeper, but where there were punch marks, they were not all over the green. Some looked like they punched just one strip. That's just an observation, though. Greens overall were smooth and quick.

Do some research and look around for discounts. Cool/fun layout, but unless it's in perfect shape, it's not worth more than $100. Maybe my fault for making a last minute time, but I expected better conditions for that price.

All that said, I would definitely go back for the right price/conditions combination.
