I finally got to see the Alvin Ailey Ballet last night at the Dorothy Chandler. Words does not describe the flawless, riveting performance.
Our seats were perfect. 3rd level, door 31, row H, rear seats 1 & 2. No one bumping us or passing through. You wantes to sit up high in order to take in alllll of the movement on the stage. When you have a chance to see this performance...run don't walk to purchase tickets. Mine were only 60 a piece. There was a pre show talk with the choreographer. It was free to ticket holders. Afterward there was a cocktail soiree following the show. Kinda meet and greet. It was $75pp. Parking was only $9. Not bad. There is limited street parking. Uber is always a great option or Metro.
There are many fine restaurants available if you care to dine before or afterwards. Be warned...MAKE A RESERVATION. There are many performances going on simultaneously at the adjacent theatres and centers. So plan ahead.
