Not a 5* hotel. The only 5* thing about this hotel...

Not a 5* hotel. The only 5* thing about this hotel are prices. The place stinks of piss, outdated and damaged furniture..kitchen supposed to be opened till 2am for night snacks. When tried to order at midnight I was told kitchen has closed at 10pm. Both Friday and Saturday. Same story. Minibar only contains 250ml bottle of water.. (hahhahaa) Very noisy staff at the night. When I asked reception to stop smashing plates and tables underneath my windows at 2am they didn't do anything about it. No movies on the telly only catchup channels. Pretty bad for 5*. Tv was probably older then me with very poor picture resolution. Staff can't even speak English as well. When I asked at the bar for an advice what is good to see in the area or where to go for a drink on Friday night, i didn't even get proper answer, just " I don't know' with very broken English. Lady in a suit. (Probably a manager) what a joke. Remote secured from battery stealing with a screw. Like someone who pays 200 quid for night needs to steal a batteries. Pretty insulting just the fact they might have thought of the guest would do it.
I was asked to pay at the check in for the whole stay. Not a normal procedure in 5* hotel. Couldn't put my bill on my room from the restaurant.obviously after charging me additional drinks worth 25 pounds which I didn't order or consumed with very bad excuse they probably expected I wouldn't pay the whole bill and for the stay after eating so bland food and having so bad experience at the hotel.

Treatment for 120 pounds for my wife... she only got oiled and left slimy. Not what we're used to in 5* hotel spa. Before you even get to the spa you can smell chlorinated air covering the usual old piss smell so not very relaxing at all.
I am not usually leaving a bad reviews but this hotel really stands out... can't believe it's Marriott.

Stay away! Some 3 or 4* hotel offer a lot nicer facilities and more professionalism for a lot less money! Such a shame! Loved the area and golf...

But this hotel needs couple million pounds spend to make it 5* and more focus on proffesionalism and spend money on training people.

Shame!
