Extremely disappointed that KWD Police didn't cite...

Extremely disappointed that KWD Police didn't cite and apply charges to the negligent, inattentive driver who disobeyed a clearly visible crosswalk and struck an killed an 86 year old Army Veteran, father of three and 46 year retired employee at Boeing/McDonnell Douglas, Mr. Edward Schaefer. The KWD PD lack of charges is intolerable judgment, zero protection and not a community service for Mr. Schaefer. The driver blew through the highly visible YELLOW "STOP FOR PEDESTRIAN" sign and the big white cross-walk painted across the street in a 30 mph zone and struck Mr. Schaeffer and probably threw his body 40 feet. No ticket though. "Just another accident"....with a negligent killing. For crying out loud, seriously!!

> No ticket for NOT "stopping" at the crosswalk?
> No wreckless and imprudent for blowing through a crosswalk
> killing a defensless 86 year old man in the clear bright day?

That is so wrong. I am not trying to over-puniush this driver, but if they aren/t punishments for breaking the law - like driving while distracted - and KILLING PEOPLE - then what is the crosswalk there for and what are the police actually doing? Really realy dumb non-action on KWDPD. I feel very sorry for Mr. Schaefer who was just walking to the park on a sunny day.
