My mom have lived at Plush Mills for the past 21 months. She was in independent living up until 5 months ago. Although she remains very functional, her progressive dementia forced her to now live in Personal Care.
I found Plush Mills to be a tremendous place if a resident is independent. They offer a lot and the socialization was great for my mom.
I do not see those same opportunities being offered since she is in Personal Care. It seems like residents are treated much differently and are much more restricted in PC which only worsens their mental decline. My mom is capable and functional to return to her prior socialization routine but it would take a concerted effort from Plush Mills.
I have also found that trying to discuss these issues with the GM , nursing, or the President of Sage is met which vague responses and resistance which turns into frustration for family and further decline.
For the cost to live there, I would expect more attention to providing a personalized approach to each resident with open involvement of concerned family opinions and suggestions.
