When our kids were young we truly enjoyed driving ...

When our kids were young we truly enjoyed driving through the lights and sharing the Christmas spirit. Over the years we have been there several times and enjoyed every visit. Now in 2017 we get the opportunity to take our kids and our 2 and 5 year old grand kids. What a mistake. you can no longer drive through you have to take a 20 minute trailer ride that we waited in line for an hour and 20 minutes to ride. Every thing you wanted to do you had to wait an excessive amount of time. People were packed in like sardines. All the waiting in lines and dust was only a minor complaint compared to the BBQ sandwich we ordered. When you leave the light tour you exit at the entrance to the food court. The kids and grand kids wanted pizza so they went that way but the smell of BBQ was what Granny and Grand Pa thought sounded good. After waiting in line once again to place your order ( 2 sliced beef sandwiches ) and was given a number, we waited for over an hour to hear our number called only to find that we did not get sliced BBQ but was given Chopped BBQ. I know I know it's all the same, right. But it was not what we wanted. However we took it because we did not want to wait again for the sliced. We found a place to sit only to find that the bun was ice cold as well as the chopped beef. I was still tasting it at 4 am the next morning. if you want to spend quality time with your young kids don't bother going here. if you want to see lights, you can spend a lot less and have a lot less frustrating experience going somewhere else. They have outgrown themselves and gotten greedy. I can only imagine somewhere in a back room of the mercantile an old Scrooge looking character counting the money they got from fleecing another batch of suckers. We will never return.
