This concerns the pool only.

This concerns the pool only.

Monona Grove High School provides open swim to the public when the pool is not in use for the students. Generally it is open daily until about 3 pm when the student athletes practice. There are some days when there is no open swim due to swim meets at the school but these are minimal. (For example, in January 2016, the pool is closed to the public on only 3 days.) Weekends are much busier than weekdays. (On a cold, snowy, weekday you might find the entire pool is your alone.)

This is a 25 meter pool that is heated. There are swim lessons for every age and every ability. The earliest lessons begin at 6 months of age. They even offer Masters Swim - this is geared for those entering a Triathlon and targets the swim portion.

The pool is handicap accessible as there is a ramp with handrails for pool entry.

You access the pool through the north entrance of the high school. There are lockers available. Officially there is a charge for pool use but when you re the only one there.... Residents are charged $3 and non-residents $4.50 for the entire day. There are passes available as well as group rates.
