Approx 1 year ago I had repair work done on my car by the Brotherton Dealership Service Department because the engine light on the dashboard was on steady. The error code indicated that it had to do with the secondary injection pump on the emissions system. They charged me $1500.00 for the repair. They told me they needed to replace ECM or computer control unit. The engine light went on again about one day after the repair. I took the car back about three separate times for the same repair and every time they kept it for 3 or 4 days and the engine light always came back on one day later. A few months after the repair I contacted the manager of the dealership via e-mail hoping to get some satisfaction in either a refund or a solution. The manager returned my call and left a message that he would look into my file and get back to me. He never called again. I personally think it is unethical to take a customers money and then not effect a resolution to the problem the customer paid you to fix. I expected Brotherton as a Buick and GM "dealership" to actually understand the specific problems associated with GM cars. Perhaps they do not have the expertise in this case. I also question their ethical standards. My only recourse is to let others know that Brotherton left me hanging out on a limb without the slightest glimmer of remorse.
