We visited the lower lode in to paddle board the lower lode loop with SUP Gloucester (this is the launch point). The pub is beautiful and the views are well worth the drive. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, they let is have a shower using the camp site facilities when we arrived back and we were muddy. The food menu looks really good- traditional pub foods and reasonably priced. We had a few drinks, and we were happy with the range of products available. Parking was free and ample. The pub offers camping too.
