The Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers (MAPS) is an important resource for the Portuguese-speaking community in the greater Boston area. This is especially true for the immigrant community. Located in the traditionally Portuguese neighborhood of east Cambridge, this nonprofit organization also serves the Portuguese-speaking African community, such as the large population from Cape Verde, and the enormous Brazilian community in Boston.
