When you go into an ER waiting room, you should expect to wait hours. However, my husband and I only waited twenty minutes. The Doctors and RNs seemed so busy, but we got an update nearly every hour and they took the time to make jokes, be witty, and at the very least, they took the time to tell us step by step what was happening and what to expect every step of the way. The ordeal took a total of only four hours. We really appreciated their help today. Especially since my husband is in-between health insurance companies right now. He's the sweetest most honest person I've ever met, but after months of Memorial treating him like a junkie just trying to get pain meds (no x-rays, no blood work, no proper diagnosis... and the instructions on the antibiotics were wrong!) I could cry from how sweet the staff at St. Francis were. It's a hard job.
