This is a five star country hotel of the Marriott group and at prices that you expect good facilities and service. We booked a DBB deal and on reflection may have been a better price despite Bonvoy scheme assurance of cheapest price. We enjoyed our 2 night stay though we did feedback our disappointment with room size, also did not like clunky TV menu, although room well maintained. Good spread at breakfast but we felt cooked items lacked TLC. Reception and waiting staff all friendly and helpful. We could have saved a little on dinner by just booking restaurant on arrival and having two courses rather than, being small eaters, paying for three. Good gym (used) and pool (not used) facilities. Not used but complex includes golf course which I assume is available at cost to residents. Small towns of Ware and Hertford nearby.
