I started in the ASN program. Within 3 weeks of the first quarter, over half of the class had dropped out already. I can see a few here and there, but seriously, if half of the class drops what s that tell you? It s to hard. Most of the curriculum is unnecessary. The required classes have nothing to do with nursing. It s seriously almost like they have got a nursing program and PhD program confused! I have since transferred to NKU and while the program isn t very easy, it s much more doable than Beckfield s nursing program. Beckfield expects you to give up your job, home life and family. Not to mention, they don t have the accreditation that most hospitals require to work at. Their tuition is almost 20 grand more than other nursing programs in the NKY/Greater Cincinnati region! Their credits don t transfer either. Also, they tell you on this fancy brochure in the beginning that their pass rate is 98%.. don t let it fool you. It s the pass rate for the NCLEX. Which of course, if you are one of the few who actually graduates the program then of course you ll pass the NCLEX. The graduation rate is 18%. They have taken a 3-4 year degree and crammed it into 2 years. It s WAY to much to learn. No one can possibly be a good nurse by learning the crammed info in 2 years. It s a shame what a scam this school is.. at least the nursing program.
