Desert academy is a decent school and I am currently attending it. I have attended desert for about more since 6th grade and now I am in 11th grade. I believe that there are some issues that can be improved but nothing that big an issue. In some cases the fact that lunch is cut down due to early release and assembly. But still the atmosphere at desert is quite nice and everyone is incredibly friendly (Including myself). The negative reviews on desert's page are mostly ignorant and don't have much backing, as well as being some people just putting in random jokes with one star reviews. A lot of the people who are making these reviews are disgruntled and angry parents who are misinformed, and don't seem to have interacted with the school. And some of the other reviews consist of angry angsty former students and some current angry students. I would recommend desert due to the fact that the learning environment is healthy and small allowing more seminars than lectures. There does need to be more attention from the administration to the students but yet its not as bad a school as it has been characterized as. -Luca Contarino
