Broad Street House was designed by architects Ley, Colbeck & Partners with the construction carried out by Trafalgar House Developments Ltd. It was completed in 1976. The roof of the large two storey L-shaped pedestal formed part of the pedway scheme from Liverpool Street to Leadenhall Street, which included the bridge across Wormwood Street, and a bridge to neighbouring Dashwood House (now removed).
