I will never go back to this store. I was greeted by a guy named BJ who I only found out through a friend who knew him from going there and buying shoes for herself. He asked for my name midway through him "helping" me out. I'm no novice when it comes to retail service. I work at a ski shop and fit people for ski boots all day long. Anyways BJ was less than impressive when it came to him caring about which running shoe would work for me. He asked what shoe size I was without measuring my foot with the sizer. He came back with some homely looking Nikes and dropped them on the ground and said "here try these on and jump on the treadmill." Then he used some iPad app to analyze my run. Basically he just drew lines on the video indicating that my legs were straight. Awesome. Thanks BJ. So he goes back and pulls four shoes out and I try them all on and each one of them my toes are swimming in the toe box and I kept asking him if I needed a narrower shoe and he said 'no'. I'm no shoe salesman, but I know that I have narrow feet. After the fourth pair and not happy I came back to my chair and saw BJ had left and gone to help someone else. So I put on my shoes I came in with and got out of there as soon as possible. I will never go back there again. The first impression I had of this place is a stuffy, ego centered shoe store. I'd rather buy running shoes from Zumiez than have to go Salt Lake Running Co again.
