This is an impressive property even by National Trust standards. The car parking is about a mile from the property and for most people it is a bus ride away. Luckily the buses are frequent.
The grounds are extensive and you can walk for many miles. They range from the formal through to parkland and agricultural land.
The house and contents are just stunning, indeed if I had to criticize I would say it was a bit too much like a fairytale castle.

We were there for nearly 8h, and it wasn't long enough. We will definitely return.
