I booked a holiday for my parents at The Lalit and they stayed at the place very recently. Posting this review on behalf of them.

When you hear a decorated name like The Lalit, you expect a very rich service. Unfortunately, our experience at The Lalit, Goa was just the opposite. My wife and I were looking forward to our one night stay at the resort, but our excitement took a downward road the minute we checked in and went to have our lunch. To our shock, there were more crows in the dining area than people or staff. Crows were flying all over and eating whatever eas left unattended. We had to eat our food with crows sitting right on the next table! In addition, the service was supremely slow. Food arrived an hour later after we orderd. We understand you are understaffed due to the pandemic, but 60 minutes of waiting time and having very limited staff to bring and serve the food and also to run behind the crows is way too unmanageable.
The room was fine. We paid a bit extra for a sea view room but could hardly see the sea. The property is huge and great but very poorly managed. We felt like taking an evening walk but there were very dim lights; you can barely see the next step while walking.
Being understaffed due to Covid is understandable. But when a customer pays you for a relaxing stay, you need to make sure they get service worth every penny paid.
There is absolutely no leisure activity you can engage in. Spa and pools are shut, understandably so, but no arrangements for any other activities are made.
The resort has a private beach but again, very poorly maintained. We expected atleast a few sitting chairs or mat and stuff, given it was a private beach of The Lalit but there was nothing.
We came to Goa and chose to stay at The Lalit hoping that it would be a one of its kind experience, but we are extremely disappointed. Cost cutting measures like less staff is fine but maintainence, lightings, and a welcoming warmth extended to customers is what everyone looks forward to. Would not recommend.
