"guidance" counselor needs to understand that not ALL kids are college material. Some kids will do well on a vocational school .She tells kids they won't amount to anything unless the go to college. College, where kids can get into debt and most likely will not obtain a job in the field they went to school for. How about letting them look at their interests and skills, seeing where it may take them. Not bully them into what you think they should do.
