I am not one to write negative reviews, but I felt...

I am not one to write negative reviews, but I felt like this 100% deserved to be shared. For my first time buying a car, I was finally ready to finance and own a reliable vehicle of my own. My boyfriend is a car salesman and I knew I wanted to buy a car from him! I decided to buy my vehicle from Toyota Knoxville and drove off the lot with a brand new 2020 Toyota Camry XSE. I m sure some of you have seen it, I posted it on my page! I was very surprised at the amazing deal they were able to offer me and the very affordable monthly payments on such a great and reliable car. I was very excited to show off my new vehicle that I was extremely proud of to my family, co-workers, and friends. I even drove to Nashville in it and the gas mileage was absolutely amazing. Anyone who knew me knows that I was absolutely in love with my first car!

About two weeks after the big purchase, I receive news from Toyota Knoxville saying they messed up on my deal. They did the number wrong on the lease that I turned into the dealership, and missed $16,000 dollars on the deal. The manager responsible for this, Dalton Johnson, made me return my vehicle after two weeks of owning it because of a mistake made on his part. Extremely disappointed, I had no other choice but to get my leased car back. The managers, instead of maturely contacting myself or my co-signer, instructed my boyfriend to tell me I had to return my brand new vehicle. Not once did I receive a call from a manager at Toyota or an apology. We had to reach out to them to figure out what was going on, instead of them contacting us! If it weren t for me demanding an apology, the manager Dalton Johnson would have stayed in his office and would not have said a word about the situation or admitted to his mistake. Not only am I extremely disappointed with the management at Toyota Knoxville, it was extremely immature of them to never contact me about the situation, rather telling my boyfriend that they re going to report my car as STOLEN if I did not return it. Once again, management never contacted me about the mistake they made! It was truly the worst first car buying experience and I hope no one else has to go through this frustration! As the girlfriend of a salesman there, I would never attack his workplace. Toyota s are great and very reliable cars, and I think if you need a long-term vehicle Toyota is most definitely the place to go. He is a great salesman and has no part to play in the mistakes and immaturity that took place during my first car buying experience. He was patient, and got me in the car I absolutely loved. If you find yourself buying from Toyota Knoxville, make sure to ask for any manager other than Dalton Johnson... because the same thing might happen to you. On the bright side, I got to drive a very nice car for free those 2 weeks I owned it.
