Amna is what I hoped for and then some. After exte...

Amna is what I hoped for and then some. After extensive research on immigration attorneys and reading reviews, once I talked to her for the first time during our phone consultation, I knew that she was the attorney I wanted to hire. My husband has a VERY complicated case and all the other attorneys wanted double and triple the money because they knew it was going to be tough to win. She not only is very understanding with her fees, but genuinely cares about your case and who you are as a person. We are still working with her and her amazing staff to get my husband home and have been now for over 8 months. There have been many bumps in the road and times we wanted to just give up, but just when you think the immigration system has trumped you (no pun intended) and you've lost, there is always some glimmer of hope in that darkness. You have to keep fighting for those you love and Amna is an attorney who will get you where you want to be. She is no bars to the wall and if things aren't going so well, she will tell you the truth and not sugar coat anything, which is a good quality to have in a lawyer. You don't want to be so hopeful for something to happen just to be crushed. She has the ability to deliver the perfect balance of both optimism and reality.

Just to give you an idea of my husband's case and all we've been through:
-Pulled over and was charged with several misdemeanors
-Had several previous criminal charges, which prevented us from asking for cancellation of removal, our original plan along with being able to bond him out of the immigration detention center
-Tried to get him out on bond by hiring two different attorneys to attempt to obtain habeas corpus in order to expunge his record. This would have allowed us to continue with the cancellation case
-That attempt failed and we were left with asking for voluntary departure all while trying to get the judge to agree that my husband was not an aggravated felon, which would eliminate any chances of obtaining relief. The government at the time had been against us thinking my husband has served jail time for a false accusation which he pled no contest to.
-Currently have been granted VD but the government is reserving the right to appeal in case they find something to hold against us. Our hope is to bring him back on a visa that I have already applied for and from there adjust his status. He will be in Mexico for a year or more.

If you are going to trust anyone, make sure that you put your case in the hands of someone like Amna and her associates. I have no family to help me or anyone to turn to who has been through this, and I had to find a way to save my husband by myself. Without Amna I would have had no chance to win my husband's case, but so far, after all we've been through, it seems as if our outcome is finally favorable.
