A great stay with one bad experience

A great stay with one bad experience

We had a good and bad experience with our stay at this hotel.

The bad experience was because of the duty manager Mr. Mukherjee who was the absolute worst person. He was deceptive, cunning, and twisting words to defend a screwup that had happened from the hotel's end. He was rude, and outright awful while dealing with our problem. We had booked the couple's retreat and checked with the hotel in advance on the package details only to find out it was not the same. When we called out the BS that the manager was trying to pull off, he changed his stance on how they can rectify it based on the availability of slots. By then we were super annoyed and a part of our stay was ruined and decided to leave it. I had the proof of all the things that happened and website details about our package but they weren't able to rectify it either and we just left it at that. If you want to avoid this, please call the reservation team and ask all the questions in detail and record the phone conversations ( we hadn't done this, unfortunately!)

coming to the good parts, the hotel location is just superb. The ambience in the evening is beautiful with lights illuminating the lotus ponds, the stone pathway leading to the beach and more. All the staff including other managers were extremely nice and welcoming. They were always there to help and get us what we needed. Its proximity to the beach is a huge plus point as we can go down any time we want to. There's a shack there too with a sitting area and serving coastal cuisine food.

The food is good too here. The buffet breakfast and lunch were phenomenal and the beach dinner was amazing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and we didn't have any issues there. The whole hotel compound is quite massive and we hardly felt the need to go outside. It is a perfect place for a 2-day vacation to relax.
