Very happy to have found a Canadian-made front-clip dog harness! I received the harness yesterday afternoon and took my dog (a 95 pound Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix) for a stroll. I recently adopted her from the humane society and she has leash reactivity and anxiety issues, so a front-clip harness was recommended in order to teach her not to constantly pull while walking on leash. The harness is beautiful and seems sturdy, but the ring on the front of the harness is not secured to the harness and floats freely along the front strap. This totally defeats the purpose of this harness, as every time my dog pulled, the front ring merely moved along the front strap and wound up by her shoulder. I don't have a sewing machine and don't think that hand-sewing would be strong enough to secure the ring in the middle of the front chest strap. The buckles and webbing of the harness seem very strong and well-made, but I'm really disappointed in this product, as it was almost $15 more than the Chinese-made version at Homes Alive Pets. On a side note, I also think it's strange that I received an email from the company the day after I ordered the harness, asking me for feedback.........at least wait until I actually get the harness!?!?!

UPDATE OCT 26 - I was contacted by customer service and offered a different custom-made harness --- I have taken the original harness in to a tailor to have the ring securely sewn to the front strap --- will update my review once this second harness has been received and tried out!

UPDATE NOV 21 - Have to give customer service 5 stars for their communication and helpfulness, but I regret to say that overall I have to give the two harnesses that I receive 1 star:( The second harness I received is a H-harness which is apparently made for training purposes and to help prevent the dog pulling, as there is a fixed round ring in the front of the harness. However, no matter how often we tighten this harness up, everytime we use it we have to retighten it. Also, when the leash is attached to the front clip, the clip winds up at her shoulder no matter how tight the harness is on the dog, which is not comfortable for her or effective to prevent pulling. As well, please see the attached photo/video of my dog wearing the new harness, which clearly shows that the harness is not indicated for training purposes or prevention of pulling by the dog.

So overall, customer service gets 5 stars, but the two harnesses each get a 1 star, simply because they are made in Canada!
