This is an elegant hotel with an emphasis on quiet old school service. The front staff is friendly and discreet. The concierge floor has a full time concierge who will take care of everything from ordering your car to recommendations for outings. The bar is under renovation but one can hardly tell that work is underway. Room service menu does not have a big selection and the breakfast I had (smoked salmon) was not top tier, but I am a salmon connoisseur. The dressing on the Caesar salad was bland. Despite that small criticism, this hotel gets a 5 star. Why? Check out the view from my fourth floor window. One feels as if one were living in a tree house, not a concrete jungle. See, the old school elegance even has me talking in the third person.
